ABOUT ME

My name is George Mikeal Godinez. I grew up with a consistently active lifestyle playing multiple sports year round. The one sport that has taken precedent over my life is hockey. I have been a hockey player my whole life (both ice & roller) and began coaching at a young age.  It all started when I laced up my first pair of roller blades at age 4.  My life would revolve around the game from that point on. Growing up I had many different coaches that all had different styles & approaches on the game.  The one thing they had in common was instilling core values into their teams.  Integrity, respect, responsibility, accountability and sportsmanship. These same core values I learned, I instill within the kids that play for my teams. I believe that we coaches and trainers have a voice that can be used to help the youth become great athletes. My vision for G² Athletics is to help youth athletes with player development the way my coaches have helped me to perform at my best and compete at the highest levels possible.
